Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 12, 2026 · Last updated: July 12, 2026
Short version: Your voice recordings never leave your device. Transcription, AI task extraction, and audio journal storage all happen on-device. We do not upload your audio, collect analytics, or require an account.
1. Who We Are
Vorynce is a product of Foculoom LLC, a California limited liability company. You can reach us via our support page.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
The Vorynce iOS app is designed to operate without collecting personal information. Specifically:
- Your voice recordings are processed entirely on-device using Apple's Speech framework and Apple Intelligence. No audio data is ever transmitted to any Foculoom server.
- We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or advertising networks in the app.
- We do not build user profiles or track your behavior across apps or websites.
- We do not require an account, login, or email address to use the app.
3. On-Device Processing
All voice processing in Vorynce happens on your device:
- Voice recording and playback: Audio files are stored locally on your device in the app's sandboxed storage. They are not uploaded to any cloud service.
- Transcription: Vorynce uses Apple's on-device Speech framework for transcription. No audio or transcription text is sent to a server.
- AI task extraction: When available, Vorynce uses on-device Apple Intelligence to extract tasks from your transcribed notes. This processing happens entirely on-device.
- Audio journal: Your journal entries, recordings, and transcriptions are stored locally. They are not synced to a cloud service unless you choose to back them up via iCloud (see Section 4).
4. Information We May Process
The following limited data may be processed, solely for the stated purposes:
- iCloud backup: If you enable iCloud backup for Vorynce, your app data (including recordings and transcriptions) may be included in Apple's iCloud backup. This is governed by Apple's iCloud Privacy Policy. Foculoom cannot access your iCloud backup contents.
- App Store Connect feedback: If you submit feedback through App Store Connect, Apple shares that feedback with us as described in Apple's policies.
- Support form: If you contact us via our support page, we receive the content of your message. We use that information only to respond to your inquiry and do not retain it beyond what is necessary.
- Website analytics: This website (vorynce.com) does not use JavaScript-based analytics. Standard web server access logs (IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL) may be retained by our hosting provider (GitHub Pages) in accordance with their data retention policies.
5. Children's Privacy
Vorynce is intended for general audiences. It is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions with higher age minimums). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Data Retention
Because we do not collect personal information through the app itself, there is no personal data retained on our servers from app use. Voice recordings and transcriptions remain on your device and are retained at your discretion. Support messages are retained only as long as necessary to resolve the inquiry and comply with applicable law.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including California under CCPA and the EU/EEA under GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. To exercise any such right, contact us via our support page. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
8. Third-Party Services
The Vorynce website uses Tally.so embedded forms for the waitlist and support contact. Tally.so collects information you submit through the form in accordance with their privacy policy. We receive the information you submit (such as your email address) solely to send you updates about Vorynce or to respond to your support request.
9. Security
We implement reasonable security measures appropriate to the limited personal data we handle. Because voice recordings and transcriptions remain on your device and are never transmitted to us, the primary privacy protection is architectural: there is no server-side data to breach.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted in the app release notes or on this website.

Blog upvotes
Blog posts may include an optional upvote button. Loading a post requests the shared Foculoom upvote script. If you use the button, Cloudflare processes request metadata including your IP address. The service stores only a truncated HMAC hash for 24 hours to limit repeat votes; it does not store the raw IP address. Your browser may store a local upvote marker. No account, cookie, advertising profile, or cross-site tracking identifier is created.
